I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding the experience we had during our recent visit to your clinic for our cat’s checkup. We brought our cat in for scheduled vaccinations and a blood pressure test. Upon arrival, we were told that we should have administered calming medication beforehand, a requirement that was never communicated to us. When the vet attempted the examination, our cat hissed once, at which point the vet refused to proceed with any part of the service. He never even took him out the basket nor did anything to him. Surely a vet is trained for situations like this. The appointment lasted only 20 minutes, during which we received practically no service. Instead of the necessary medical care, we were simply sent a link on how to perform a blood pressure test at home, something I could have easily found on YouTube myself. Despite this lack of care, we were still charged £92, which I find completely unreasonable given that no treatment or examination was actually performed. £18 were for some tablets to use next time however £74 for nothing is mad. To make matters worse, the receptionist was quite rude to my partner. This follows also from a previous incident where we were overcharged by approximately £300 for an exam, an error that took me numerous attempts and messages to finally rectify. I chose not to post a review as im not negative normally but now after this I could not hold back. I do not mind paying for professional services, but we gained nothing from this visit. We are incredibly disappointed with the lack of professionalism and the poor level of service provided. Based on these experiences, we will not be recommending your clinic to others. I contacted Medivet on 17/03 about my cat, Ptysio, who had died and the way the girl handled the call at 9am was appalling. She was completely devoid of empathy, speaking in a casual, almost chirpy tone like she was working in a make up shop or selling sausage rolls rather than dealing with someone grieving their pet. I had to drag basic information out of her when I asked about options she just said “cremation” with no explanation, leaving me to push for prices and details in an already traumatic moment. Her attitude was careless, tone-deaf and entirely unprofessional. No compassion, no care just a complete lack of basic human decency. Completely unacceptable.

I am very disappointed with my experience at this veterinary clinic. I took my cat for blood test and although I received the results, I was not given any explanation or medical advice from the veterinary, even though the results showed abnormal values. I sent four emails to the clinic asking for guidance about what investigation or next steps should be taken, but no one even bothered to reply. As a pet owner this is extremely frustrating and worrying. When test results are not good you expect the vet to at least explain the situation and advise on further investigations or treatment. Unfortunately the vet who saw us seemed very inexperienced, a very young doctor who appeared to have just finished school. It did not inspire confidence, and I did not feel that my pet was in experienced hands. On top of that after the blood sample was taken my cat come home extremely traumatized , both of her front legs shaved she was picked multiple times in her legs and after that they even tried to take blood from her neckI have taken my cat for blood at the others clinics before and she has never reacted like this. The receptionist was also very arrogant and showed no empathy towards clients. She barely acknowledged people coming into the clinic. Overall, this was a very poor experience and I would not recommend this veterinary clinic!!!!

Administrations errors on almost every visit/call since we moved over to medivet - Hendon - 3 years ago (as we had moved houses & location). Managers do not show any level of compassion or sympathy when told that regular treatment (Flea and worming) medication has not been provided on time consistently - receptionists gatekeeping any escalation to a manager. Manager keeps repeating how they have over 4000 patients to deal with, so at times things can be missed - which is a POOR excuse for a company that should be managing the health and wellbeing of our loved ones. I have been told by multiple members of staff & managers that the treatment has been ordered but no timescale as to when to expect the delivery of goods - no communication in terms of updates. On a visit a few months ago, we provided a urinal sample (which was taken on the practices driveway) during a visit & was told that they will process the sample and provide us with results — fast forward 3 months later & the FLE and worming treatment was due, we enquired if we could also take a look into his results — they were unaware of any urine sample and have now confirmed they have lost it. Why was no communication made, when notes on his case should have outlined that the team were awaiting a urine sample? They have not apologised or shown any empathy for the lack of communication or importance of the matter. I will be reviewing other practises to ensure we make a move from the medivets chain, as soon as possible — do not join this branch if you care about your loved ones.
